Saint PAUL's FOOTSTEPS

As it is written in GENESIS, Anatolia is the “land to the morning”- the Garden of Eden.

Day 1, Departure for Turkey

Day 2, Arrival to Istanbul

After arriving to Istanbul, our guide takes you to your five-star city-center hotel. If you have enough time and energy before dinner, you'll have a change to meander down Istanbul's best-loved pedestrian walkway.

 Day 3, Istanbul Sightseeing

 After breakfast, visiting St.Sophia Church ( 6th Century ); Topkapi Palace, headquarters of the Ottoman Empire for centuries; St.Chora Church, with its colorful mosaics-these will be among the highlights of the day. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4, Istanbul & Flight to Antalya

After breakfast, we have an audience with the Armenian Orthodox Patriarch. Other potential activities of the day, before flying to Antalya, will be a Bosphorus tour and some guided shopping in the intriguing Grand Bazaar. Departure to Antalya. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

 Day 5, Pisidian Antioch

 After breakfast, beautiful drives to and from a fabulous set of ruins; Antioch of Pisidia. Worship in a goat-hair tent, just like those Saint Paul made; walk through an ancient temple, where the heads of bulls rolled; stand where Saint Paul preached his first recorded sermon-this will be day you won't forget. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

 Day 6, Perga & Antalya Museum & Phaselis

 After breakfast, visiting the award-winning Antalya Museum and the enchanting ruins of ancient Perga, after which you will visit the ruins of Phaselis. Dinner and overnight in Antalya.

 Day 7, Laodicea & Hierapolis

 After breakfast,we will climb by bus from the coast of Antalya for visiting to the ruins of Laodecia, where the church was'luke-warm' and Hierapolis, where the Apostle Philip lived and served. We will end the day with a soak in thermal baths at the five-star thermal Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kapadocia.

 Day 8, Philadelphia & Sardis

 After breakfast, visiting the highlight of the day will be the impressive restorations at Sardis, where we will also worship in the remains of a 4th Century church. After a picnic lunch by a stream once rich with gold, we will drive to the area of Ephesus via Izmir ( ancient Smyrna ). Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

 Day 9, Miletus & Ephesus

 After breakfast, sightseeing this day will begin with a site that has always been in the shadow of Ephesus. Nevertheless,Miletus, where Paul bid farewell to the Ephesian elders, is worth seeing, boasting a  magnificent theater.Your afternoon visit to the incomparable ruins of Ephesus will undoubtedly be a highlight of your Saint Paul's Footsteps tour. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

 Day 10, Pergamum & Asclepion

 After breakfast, we will drive up the Aegean coast to the spectacular ruins of Pergamum, where, according to Revelation, Satan had his throne. Visits to the medical center Asclepion,the Red Basilica, and the seaside for the sunset will round out the day. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale.

 Day 11, Assos & Troas

 After breakfast our heaviest driving day will started, but a beautiful one nonetheless: miles along the coast of the Aegean and a ferry across the memorable Dardanelles. We may also visit high above the Aegean the ruins of Assos, where Aristotle taught and where Paul visited; and the ruins of Alexandria Troas, where Paul preached all night, causing young Eutychus to nod off and fall from a high window. The day will end at our hotel in Kavala, Greece, where Paul first landed in Europe. Dinner and overnight  in Kavala.

 Day 12, Philippi & Thessaloniki

 After breakfast, visiting dream upon the Via Ignatia, the ancient Roman road Paul and his companions traveled.We'll visit the ruins of Philippi, where Paul led Lydia and the jailer to faith, and ruins around the still-bustling city of Thessaloniki. After dinner, we'll puddle-jump to Athens. Dinner and overnight in Athens. 

Day 13, Corinth & Cenchrea & Myceane

 After breakfast, visiting the canal that connects the Aegean and Corinthian Seas, with the old stones grooved by the slaves tugging ships from one sea to the other. We will see the rich ruins of Corinth, where Paul ministered in the midst of flagrant immorality, and the noteworthy ruins of Cenchrea, where Phoebe served as a deaconess and Myceane, where the famous Lion Gate still stands. Dinner and overnight in Athens.

 Day 14, Athens & Shopping

 After breakfast, visiting the Acropolis and Parthenon, Mars Hill and the Court, where Paul preached, the Agora and stoa of Attalus-all this and more during our half-day tour. The afternoon will be served for shopping or leisure before a late afternoon flight to Rome. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

 Day 15, St. Paul's Basilica & The Forum

 After breakfast, visiting a sampling of the best sites: St. Paul's Basilica, where the Apostle himself is said to be buried; the Forum, full of fascinating monuments, the Sistine and Pauline chapels. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

 Day 16, Colosseum & San Giovanni & Catacombs.

After breakfast, visiting the awe-inspiring Colosseum, where countless Christians were killed; San Giovanni, boastling Saint Paul and Saint Peter's heads; the Catacombs. Dinner and overnight in Rome. 

Day 17, Departure to Airport

 After breakfast, transfer to Airport
