TURKISH BLUE VOYAGES & MEDITERRANEAN SEA CRUISES

On a Blue Cruise you sail along the southwestern Turkish coastline into solitary bays, through crystal-clear waters to picturesque small villages and places of antiquity, right into the heart of mythology as well as that of real history.

GOCEK-GOCEK (Gulf of Kekova): Highly recommended itinerary for its natural beauty and history. The ruins of the Lycian cities of Demre and Myra where (Saint Nicolas - Santa Claus - was once the bishop) and Xantos, Letoon, Patara extend along the coast. Kekova, with its sunken city, is an incredibly beautiful spot.

BODRUM-BODRUM (Gulf of Gökova): The Gulf of Gökova is where the blue cruise originated. In this relatively large gulf, especially on its southern coast, the boat turns into a magnificent bay and just as one is admiring the surroundings another cove or creek, even more cosy and secluded, appears. Near the head of the gulf is Sidera Island on which one can see the ruins of an ancient city, a theatre in good condition and a beach with very unusual sand, reputed to have been brought here by Cleopatra from the Sahara Desert. An excursion by minibus from Karacasögüt to Marmaris and the entrance to Cedrae Island is included in price.

MARMARIS-MARMARIS (Gulf of Fethiye): This route is perhaps the loveliest of all because of the variety it affords. At Ekincik, usually the first stop after Marmaris, small boats take passengers through an amazing delta to the ruins of Caunos, and the Iztuzu beach, which has recently won fame with the Caretta turtles, which is only a few hundred yards away. The Gulf of Fethiye boasts some of the most attractive meetings of pine trees and sea. There are, among others, the Tersane and Gemile Islands with deserted Greek fishing villages. Nearby Oludeniz is another marvel of nature. Included in the price is an excursion with small boats to Dalyan and the entrance to the ancient site of Caunos.
